Swedish Rescue Service Agency - Training Section
The school in its current form started in 1986.
Today we have 4,000 students a year on average.
The shortest course is two days, the longest two years.
We have a unique team of teachers including doctoral engineers and researchers, experienced emergency commanders and firefighters from the municipal rescue services, as well as behaviourists, sociologists and healthcare instructors.
The vision of the Swedish Rescue Services Agency – Revinge is to be a world leader in fire and rescue training.
Our training areas are fire service, rescue, accident prevention, command, crisis management, leadership, chemicals and the environment, and medicine in the fire and rescue services.
Our students include personnel from municipal and national fire and rescue services, local and national authorities, the private sector, the academic world, international fire and rescue services and the EU, UN and NATO mechanisms.
Through active collaboration with academic establish ments and other partners, we develop training pro- grammes to create a safer society.
To ensure we are doing the right things in the right way, we apply the ISO 9001:2000 quality management sys- tem in our work, and are of course also certified to the ISO 14001 environmental management system.
