The 10th Vienna Forum

The 10th Vienna Forum for Intercultural Philosophy, titled Everyday Aesthetics and Everydayness from an Intercultural Perspective (27 February – 1 March 2026, Otto Mauer Zentrum, Vienna), marks a significant moment in the history of the Forum. Organized by Mădălina Diaconu and Mădălina Guzun Masoud, the event explicitly opened its program for the first time to the field of everyday aesthetics, engaging with it from a genuinely intercultural perspective and bringing it into dialogue with diverse philosophical traditions and cultural practices.
This initiative also highlights the growing international visibility of EVAnet and its expanding role within the broader landscape of contemporary aesthetics. The active involvement of EVAnet members in the organization and scientific development of the Forum reflects the network’s capacity to foster dialogue across cultural and disciplinary boundaries, while contributing to the ongoing redefinition of the field.
The conference featured keynote lectures by Yuriko Saito and Arto Haapala, two of the most influential voices in the field, whose work has been central in shaping contemporary debates on everyday aesthetics. Alongside them, a wide range of international scholars explored themes such as ordinary experience, aesthetic care, environmental perception, and cultural practices of everyday life, offering a rich and pluralistic framework for understanding how aesthetic values are embedded in daily practices across different contexts.
Among the EVAnet partners, contributions were presented by Elisabetta Di Stefano, Lenka Lee, and Rosa Fernández Gómez, further highlighting the network’s active role in advancing research at the intersection of intercultural philosophy and everyday aesthetics.
For EVAnet, the event represents an important opportunity for exchange, collaboration, and the consolidation of a shared research agenda. At the same time, it signals an expansion of the network’s theoretical axes and research fields, strengthening its contribution to current international debates on intercultural and everyday aesthetics.
